Pommes Boulangere
Pommes Boulangere. The story is, that in the past, a French family would prepare these potatoes and then take them to the local boulangerie, the baker, to be cooked in the even heat of his oven, hence the name. Halve the onions, then thinly slice.
Enjoy a taste of France at home with Guillaume Brahimi on Plat du Tour, each night during each live stage of the Tour de France exclusive broadcast on SBS. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Stir in the rosemary and nutmeg.
Arrange the potatoes over the base of the dish slightly overlapping, sprinkle with a little salt and pepper.
Season the top layer, then scatter over the whole rosemary leaves.
Add the remaining ingredients and bake the Pommes de Terre Boulangères per the recipe instructions. Cook until golden and soft (not brown), shaking the pan occasionally. Badigeonnez le fond d'une cuillère à soupe d'huile d'olive.
